ABOUT

Glowtown is an art-making workshop that develops individual creativity and teamwork within a community-building environment.

By using everyday, simple, cast-away materials, along with the magic of glow-in-the-dark paint, participants come together to invent a fantastical world that never existed before, both during the day and at night!

Created by artist Sharon Louden in 1999, Glowtown workshops involve children from the ages of 8-18 as well as adults in corporate team building retreats. Taking place in gymnasiums, libraries, museums or even corporate campuses, workshops last a few hours and bring communities together in an afternoon of fun and creativity.

Glowtown:

  • Emphasizes the empowerment and freedom that comes from individual expression.

  • Teaches kids and adults that you can make art out of anything.

  • Fills a gap in arts education across the country for those who may not have access to art classes.

  • Stresses the importance of sustainability and recycling by using simple, everyday cast-away, "trash" materials.

  • Creates team building environments that bring people together by breaking down inter-personal barriers.

Glowtown workshops are dynamic, high energy environments that are full of imagination, creativity, and freedom. Using simple material that is normally just thrown away or recycled, kids and adults discover the wonder of creating something from nothing, transforming trash into art.

It's a fabulous experience that will have your community buzzing for a long time!
